# What You Will Learn

During this class, you will learn three important parenting shifts that will help your daughter develop the skills to build healthy friendships and navigate social challenges with confidence.

### Shift #1: From Fixing to Coaching

Instead of telling your daughter who is or isn’t a good friend, you’ll learn how to guide her toward better questions, stronger judgment, and greater confidence in her own decisions.

### Shift #2: From Reassuring to Skill Building

Reassurance can help in the moment, but it doesn’t always teach your daughter what to do next. You’ll learn how to help her strengthen emotional regulation, assertive communication, and boundaries so she can handle friendship challenges with more confidence.

### Shift #3: From Reacting to Responding

One of the hardest parts of parenting teen girls is knowing when to stay out and when to step in. You’ll learn how to distinguish between normal friendship conflict and relational aggression, and how to respond with clarity and calm, while empowering your daughter to take action.

### This class will give you practical tools and a new way to support your daughter through friendship and social challenges.

The biggest changes happen when parents practice these shifts consistently and have support as they learn what works best for their family.

That’s why I’ll also introduce [**The Parent Coaching Circle**,](https://www.inspirebalance.com/parent-coaching-circle/)a 4-week, skill-based group coaching program for parents of teen girls.

## About Erica Rood, M.A. Ed.

I am the founder of **Inspire Balance Coaching.**  After more than a decade of coaching girls through struggles with confidence, friendships, social anxiety, and the transition into young adulthood, I’ve seen how much parents can influence the way girls learn to handle relationships.

My coaching approach combines teaching, traditional life coaching, positive psychology, and years of experience working with teen girls and their families.

I created this class to give parents clear, realistic strategies they can use right away, without overstepping, rescuing, or feeling like they have to figure everything out alone.
